Ola Electric has introduced the Ola S1X 4 kWh, which features a robust 6 kW motor and an impressive range of 190 km. The electric scooter, priced at Rs. 1,09,999, will begin customer deliveries in April 2024. Ola Electric, headquartered in Bengaluru, has also unveiled an industry-first extended battery warranty that lasts for eight years or up to 80,000 km across its entire product lineup. This move aims to address customer concerns regarding battery longevity.
Speaking about the latest launch, Bhavish Aggarwal, the Founder, Chairman, and MD of Ola Electric Mobility Limited, expressed, “Our latest initiatives encompassing products, services, charging network, and battery warranty mark a significant milestone in overcoming barriers to EV adoption nationwide. Apart from the complimentary extended battery warranty, India’s top-selling electric two-wheeler manufacturer asserts that it will expand its service and charging network throughout the country. The new Ola S1X 4 kWh delivers an impressive ride range of 190 km on the Indian Driving Cycle and boasts a maximum speed of 90 kmph. Its acceleration from zero to 40 kmph takes a mere 3.3 seconds.
The 2024 Ola S1X 4 kWh is available in a range of captivating colors, including Red Velocity, Midnight, Vogue, Stellar, Funk, Porcelain White, and Liquid Silver. Built on the Gen 2 platform, the S1X series from Ola is designed and developed to cater to the diverse requirements of daily commutes. It is offered with battery options of 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh.

The Ola S1X range starts at Rs. 79,999 for the 2 kWh variant and Rs. 89,999 for the 3 kWh model. The recently introduced 4 kWh option is priced Rs. 20,000 higher and presents a compelling alternative to several conventional IC-engined scooters. Ola claims that the industry-first extended warranty helps extend the lifespan of its e-scooters twice as long as their ICE counterparts.
Customers also have the option to purchase an add-on warranty, allowing them to increase the maximum distance covered up to 1.25 lakh km in addition to the extended warranty. Within the next three months, the service network will be expanded by 50 percent, growing from the existing 414 centers to approximately 600 centers.

The fast-charging network will be rapidly expanded to 10,000 points by the next quarter, with a 3KW portable fast charger accessory available for purchase at Rs. 29,999. With the introduction of the new Ola S1X variant, Ola now offers a total of six electric scooter models in India, with the range-topping S1 Pro priced at around Rs. 1,47,499 (ex-showroom).
